Boozoo Chavis

Wilson Anthony Boozoo Chavis was a zydeco musician - music created by French speaking Creoles of South-West Louisiana. He was active from 1954 until his death during which time he largely sang and played the accordion. Chavis was also a prolific writer of zydeco songs.

Joe Falcon

Joseph Falcon was a Cajun accordion player in southwest Louisiana, best known for the first recording of a Cajun song entitled Allons à Lafayette in 1928. He and his wife Cléoma Breaux left for New Orleans to record the first Cajun record and went on to perform across southern Louisiana and Texas.

Lawrence Welk was an American musician, accordionist, bandleader, and television impresario, who hosted The Lawrence Welk Show from 1955 to 1982. His style came to be known to his large number of radio, television, and live-performance fans as champagne music.
