Biography: Sir John Major, KG, CH, PC, ACIB is a British Conservative politician who served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1990 to 1997. Major remains the most successful Prime Minister in British history in terms of number of votes and popularity, gaining a record-breaking fourteen million votes in the 1992 general election.
