Biography: Twinkle Khanna (born Tina Jatin Khanna on 29 December 1974) is an Indian author, newspaper columnist, film producer, former film actress and interior designer. Her first book Mrs Funnybones sold over one hundred thousand copies, making her India's highest-selling female writer of 2015. Her most recent book, Pyjamas Are Forgiving (Juggernaut Books, 2018) was released in September 2018 and debuted at number 1 on the Nielsen Bookscan All-India Bestseller List. Moreover, it went on to make her the top-selling female author of 2018. She won the Crossword Book Award 2016 for Mrs Funnybones. She repeated the success with her second book, The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad, which also went on to sell over 100,000 copies by August 2017. Salaam Noni Appa, a story from the anthology has been adapted into a play directed by Lillette Dubey.She won the Outlook Award in 2016 for the most inspiring woman of the year. Khanna was invited to be a part of an eminent panel at the United Nations, New York on Women's Entrepreneurship Day and also appeared on BBC world Impact show to talk about menstrual hygiene and sanitation globally. She has also received many accolades some of them being Hello! India magazine's Visionary woman of the year as well as the Vogue Opinion Maker Of the Year.
