Copyright Notice is an educational and informative Website: Our only mission is to educate and to provide information to our visitors.

All quotations, poems and excerpts displayed in our Website are the intellectual property of their respective owners. However, we own the copyright to the compilation and arrangement of quotations.

Most of the images we have in our Website that are portraits of people are licensed under Creative Commons licenses. Below each of these images, you can always find a link to Wikimedia Commons page, where you can see more information about the respective image and its license.

If the portrait isn't licensed under Creative Commons licenses (thus doesn't have the link to Wikimedia Commons page), we always provide the credit, unless we are unable to locate the original source.

For every quotation in text version, we also have an image version. You are free to share and publish these images, as long as you link back to us.

Fair Use

We have reasons to believe our use of both quotations and images falls under Fair Use if we consider:
(a) the purpose and character of the use: educational and informative;
(b) the amount of each work: in case of quotations, usually small portions of the whole work and in case of images, much lower resolution; and
(c) the nature of the copyrighted work: we only publish content which has been already published.

But if you believe in good faith that any quotation, excerpt or image infringes your copyright, we will remove it upon notification. In this case, we reserve the right to ask you to provide the information below:
(a) Identification in sufficient detail of the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed;
(b) Identification of the URL on our Website that contains the material that you claim to be infringing your copyright;
(c) The electronic or physical signature of the owner of the copyright or a person authorized to act on the owner's behalf;
(d) A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law; and
(e) A statement that you swear under penalty of perjury that the information contained in your notification is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
