Bio: Fred Waldron Phelps, Sr. is an American pastor heading the Westboro Baptist Church, an independent Baptist church based in Topeka, Kansas. Phelps is a disbarred lawyer, founder of the Phelps Chartered law firm, and a former civil rights activist.
